Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia (PVT)

Polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (PVT) is a form of ventricular tachycardia in which there are multiple ventricular foci with the resultant QRS complexes varying in amplitude, axis and duration. The commonest cause of PVT is myocardial ischaemia.

My Name is Jason Winter and I have a real passion for ECG education and training, and I believe that we all could save more lives by being more knowledgeable and having a better understanding on what's displayed on the ECG monitor or print out and knowing especially how the ECG works. For example understanding about De Winter T waves, may get the patient emergent PCI they need to unblock their occluded artery. Understanding about wellens syndrome might get the patient earlier investigations before they have a massive anterior infarct.

My aims is to get better ECG Education for everyone, this is not a dying art, I believe that ECG training is just not given the priority it deserves when it comes to training paramedics, EMT, doctors, nurses and technicians etc.

I am currently working as a Ambulance clinician for a UK NHS ambulance service. I myself hold a Diploma in Electrocardiology (Dip-ECG) and I have attended specialist courses in Electrocardiology at various UK universities.
